History

Established in 1989.

After three generations in the industry, the experts at Sila Heating & Air Conditioning (formerly Unique Indoor Comfort) combine the resources of one of the largest and most respected heating and air conditioning companies in the nation with the integrity and values of a family-owned business.

Jack Rothacker, a third-generation heating and air conditioning engineer who learned the business from his father Steve and grandfather Ed, started the company in 1989. When Steve joined a fledgling heating and air conditioning franchise group called Unique Indoor Comfort in the early 1970s, Jack worked with his father as he built four Unique Indoor Comfort franchises in Illinois and Texas in the 1970s and 1980s.
