John has worked on small repair jobs, to large commercial construction projects which involved the use of tower cranes.

History

Established in 1986.

Started with plumbing, remodeling and new construction. Added more licenses and services for Boilers / Radiant. HVAC, Electrical, and Construction to create a large successful Plumbing Heating & Air Service Company which I sold in 1999.

After selling the company, I worked by referral only for many years. In 2011, I created JOS Inc. with a focus on staying small, and producing quality work at a fair price.

As of November 13, 2014  and every year since, John Owens Services has earned and maintained the prestigious Diamond Certified® award which is only is presented only to contractors and other local service companies that rate "highest in quality" in a detailed customer satisfaction study of their customers.

Each qualifying business must also pass a license, insurance, complaint status, legal and credit rating (for contractors). To maintain Diamond Certification, American Ratings Corporation conducts ongoing customer satisfaction surveys and checks credentials on a regular basis.

Business Owner

I started in Plumbing in 1974. Over time I have developed my expertise to become qualified and experienced in multiple trades. I strive to learn something new in my trades every day.

I started a plumbing business in Marin County in 1986. In 1988, I added Boiler Radiant Heating services and later in 1994 also added Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning services. In 2002, I began offering General Contracting with the addition of Electrical services in 2006.

My reputation as a successful plumbing, heating, and air conditioning company allowed me to sell to a national company in 1999 prior to starting John Owens Service, Inc.

My focus is to provide good personal service to all our customers. My job is to serve people and I love it.
