History

Established in 1978.

John Schafer founded De Anza Water Conditioning in 1978, after 10 years of experience in the water conditioning industry.  He incorporated his business in 1979 and became an independent, authorized dealer of Kinetico products in 1980.   Their team of highly trained technicians and administrative staff are there to assist them in delivering and supporting the highest-quality commercial and residential water treatment systems on the market--Kinetico Systems.

Business Owner

John Schafer is an expert in water quality.  Commercial systems, extreme problem water, and complicated  system designs are his specialty.  

John takes his job seriously.  He is passionate about providing excellent customer service, so much so that his technicians are available for emergency calls 24/7.  When not working, John can often be found with fishing poles in hand.  John also takes great pride in being the  Chief of  the Stevens Creek Volunteer Fire Department, which he helped found over three decades ago.

John's family consists of his wife, Lynne; his eldest son, Sawyer, whose business also happens to be in water.  He is the owner of Water Spring in Santa Clara, which provides full-service quality bottled water.  John's youngest son, Ian, has been with De Anza Water Conditioning for ten years and is the company's Service Manager.
