History

Established in 2010.

A neighbor in need - that's how this business got started.  Some friends were being transferred out of the area.  They had lived years in their home, had very busy working lives, young children, and the general home & property maintenance was...well, let's just say - a bit overlooked.  One of us had recently quit a successful but tired retail sales/management career, so needing some extra cash, we offered to lend a hand (the other one was a particularly skilled handyman & gardener).  We did everything from wrestle down blackberries, to fixing a fence, fascia, deck, hole in the wall & gutter, to painting, to spotlessly clean every nook & cranny, to sorting & disposing of a very generous "junk" pile.  The home was transformed and so were our lives.  They were elated!  This experience of hard work, great results, and happy Clients formed the basis of our mission to put people first - always.

Before CG Real Estate Ready, I was in mobile electronics, as installer and installation management.  A good deal of the frustration I had with my prior life was how the corporate culture squeezed not only the employees, but the Clients as well.  While this was bearable in a good economy, it just got too ugly in a challenging one.  Both my partner, who had also spent good time in retail (home furnishings mainly), and I couldn't stand how companies were directing us to treat Clients as uniform pocket-books and little else.  Our nightly rants were usually against policies upper management was putting into place with regards to Clients that just felt too slimey to carry out. We weren't getting too popular with the bosses.  It was our conviction that REALLY caring for the client was the key.  It's so obvious & basic - taking care of the client IS taking care of the business.  Starting our own business has allowed us to put those principles into practice.  We love our business for that!
