History

Established in 2000.

Andrew has been involved in the plumbing business for the 20 years. The initial development of his  knowledge, and skill was facilitated by Berkeley-based plumbing contractor Reid J. Miller, a master plumber and sole proprietor with over 35 years of experience.

I'll tell you, it's simple really, all you have to do is go to Stanford where you major in Literature, then move on to a graduate fellowship. Riding the Phd track in the liberal arts-that's the surest path to a career in the trades! There it is, I've been to the ivory tower and now I pray to the porcelain god.

Honestly, I probably ended up in plumbing precisely because it is satisfying work, work that takes a great deal of patience-something I don't have.

As a self-avowed 'recovering intellectual,' working in plumbing is a great fit. Each day presents a new set of characters, and new obstacles to resolve-from mapping out a workable solution, to executing the actual repair, plumbing demands an elastic temperament and a willingness to wallow in filth-it's a delicate balance, or perhaps it's an imbalance that suits me.
